Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock and stock displays, and perform duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

You will lead in the absence of management and support planograms, merchandising, and daily store tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, plus six months supervisory experience or related training.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle transactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner; total purchases, collect payment, make change.
• Stock, restock and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Clean the store and assist with sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
