Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store and prioritize customer satisfaction. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and display merchandise, and support store leadership in an acting capacity when managers are away.

The role emphasizes welcoming customers, ensuring accurate transactions, stocking, cleaning, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; 6 months supervisory or related experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow planograms and merchandise presentation guidelines.
• Cash handling and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment, bag merchandise, and assist customers as necessary.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restrooms and stockroom; assist with sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties typically performed by Store Manager or Assistant Manager in their absence.
