Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to provide customer-focused service and lead store activities. You will assist customers, operate the register, stock and rotate merchandise, and help maintain a clean, well-organized store.

In the absence of the Store Manager, you may perform supervisory duties and lead the team. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus at least six months of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read planograms and follow merchandise presentation guides.
• Basic math skills and cash handling proficiency.
• Willing to perform duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and greet customers.
• Operate cash register, process payments, and assist customers at checkout.
• Stock, rotate, and display merchandise according to planograms.
• Keep the store clean and organized; assist with sidewalk displays.
• Open/close the store under direction of the Store Manager and cover in their absence.
