Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is hiring a Lead Team Member to help maintain a clean, organized store and deliver a customer-first culture. You will assist customers, operate registers, stock shelves, and support leadership in daily tasks to maximize store profitability.

The role emphasizes merchandising, safety, and efficient checkout, with opportunities to develop leadership skills and contribute to a high-energy shopping environment. This is a full-time position at a store location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash handling.
• Knowledge of cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and exceed expectations.
• Model product knowledge and selling techniques.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
• Assist in merchandising to create appealing displays and drive sales.
• Operate cash register and scanners for purchases and payments.
• Assist customers in self-checkout and at multiple registers.
• Open/close the store under direction of Store Team Leader in absence of leadership.
• Follow SOPs and company policies.
