Job summary

HomeGoods at TJX Companies in Middleton, WI is seeking a Key Carrier to support store leadership and customer experience. This role alternates with Coordinator duties and may serve as Manager on Duty as needed, requiring open availability including nights and weekends.

You will model exceptional service, coach Associates, ensure opening/closing procedures, and help maintain store operations in line with company guidelines. Prior retail experience and leadership potential are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores.
• Proven problem solving skills.
• Able to coach, delegate, and follow-up on multiple people/tasks.
• Able to act quickly under challenging circumstances.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• 1 year retail, 6 months leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience.
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality.
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure.
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan.
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to Associates.
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures and opening/closing procedures.
• Communicates with management and Associates when setting priorities and providing progress updates.
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates.
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs.
• Ensures adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs and shrink reduction goals.
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.
