Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience or related experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform basic math and percentage calculations.
• Ability to operate a cash register and perform standard cashier duties.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies and deposit procedures.
• Ability to travel to the bank to deposit money using own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, mop floors, clean restrooms and stockroom; set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties typically performed by Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
