Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and help set up displays.

In the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, you lead the team and safeguard assets. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and may prefer six months of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and cash handling skills required.
• Ability to read planograms and follow merchandise presentation guides.
• Comfort with basic math and POS cash register functions.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to drive to bank deposits as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and greet customers.
• Operate cash register, scan items, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays and restock shelves.
• Keep the store clean and organized; handle trash and cleaning duties.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.
