Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeking a Lead Sales Associate to uphold a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and support store profitability while protecting assets.

Role includes leading when managers are away, implementing planograms, opening/closing, and performing duties typically done by management in their absence. Must meet education and supervisory experience preferences.

Qualifications

• Leads customer service initiatives and assists customers effectively.
• Must be able to operate cash register and POS system accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, handle payments, bag merchandise.
• Stock, restock and rotate merchandise on shelves; build displays according to planograms.
• Keep the store clean and organized; manage trash, cleaning and stocking duties.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining planograms.
• Open and close the store under supervision of Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
