Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate in Ohio to support a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will help customers locate merchandise, operate the register, stock shelves, and assist in leading the team in the Store Manager's absence.

Your role includes greeting customers, processing payments, following planograms, and maintaining safety and store standards to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandising guides.
• Strong math skills for cash handling and POS transactions.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Ability to operate cash register and scanner accurately.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Willingness to drive to the bank for deposits when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases and collect payment.
• Stock merchandise, restock, rotate stock, and build displays per planograms.
• Clean the store; manage trash, dust, mop floors, and clean restrooms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
