Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate in Ohio to maintain a clean, organized store and deliver a customer-first experience. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and display merchandise, and support store operations under the Store Manager's guidance.

Responsibilities include leading customer service efforts, performing cash transactions, restocking, and helping with opening/closing.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash responsibly.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including deposits.
• Ability to drive to the bank for deposits if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases and make change.
• Stock merchandise and build displays; follow planograms.
• Clean the store and maintain shop floor appearance.
• Assist in store setup and open/close duties under direction.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
