Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Massillon, OH is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and rotate products, and support the Store Manager.

In this lead role, you will help train teammates, open and close the store under direction, and perform duties of a Sales Associate in the absence of management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with cashier duties and basic math.
• Understanding of planograms and merchandise presentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and greet/assist customers.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, and give correct change.
• Receive, unpack, stock, and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, maintain restroom and stockroom.
• Open/close the store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform duties of lead sales associate in manager's absence.
