Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Alliance, Ohio is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and help implement planograms.

In this lead role you will perform duties in the absence of the Store Manager, train or guide sales staff, open and close the store under direction, and ensure accurate cash handling and loss prevention

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust/mop floors, and set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
