Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Boardman, Ohio is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to support a clean, customer-first store and lead in the absence of the Store Manager. You will assist customers, operate the checkout, stock and display merchandise, and ensure store standards.

Responsibilities include leading customer service, cashier duties, stock management, store cleaning, and assisting with planograms and opening/closing procedures. This is a full-time role based in-store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient reading and execution of planograms and merch presentation.
• Ability to operate cash register and handle payments accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payments, make change, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise; restock and rotate; build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, mop floors, clean restrooms and stockroom, sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager guidance.
• Perform duties of Store Manager/ASMs in their absence.
