Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a lead Cashier/Stocker who can step in for the Store Manager when needed. You will help set plan-o-grams, maintain displays, and deliver exceptional customer service.

The role includes unloading trucks, stocking, operating the register, and contributing to a clean, safe, and profitable store environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and some supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience or related training.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle cash accurately.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Ability to read plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves according to store processes.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Operate register, total purchases and give customers change.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organize displays.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Open/close store per direction of area manager; handle refunds and overrides.
• Monitor cash levels and support cashier accountability and security.
