Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. The role will lead the team in servicing customers and managing coverage during the Store Manager’s absence or opposing shifts.

Ideal candidates are bilingual and will help set team goals, coach members, participate in interviews, and ensure efficient processing of orders and returns while maintaining strong store standards and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification.
• Desirable: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service.
• Supervise showroom customer service levels and programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Ensure staffing at the retail sales counter during peak hours.
• Assist in setting team goals and coaching team members; monitor training.
• Assist in hiring by recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified team members.
• Ensure calls and orders are processed promptly and customers are notified of shipments.
• Ensure all merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store, including core charges and warranties.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Enforce adherence to posted schedules and security procedures.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and banking as needed.
