Job summary

Community Choice Financial Family of Brands in Sumter, SC is seeking a General Manager to lead store performance and deliver the white-glove customer experience our customers expect.

You will coach, develop, and supervise the store team, drive loan and pawn product sales, manage operations and security, ensure compliance with all policies, and represent the brand in the local community through partnerships and events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of experience and proven success in a supervisory or leadership role in retail, financial, customer service, or related industries.
• Operations experience in a leadership capacity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid and current driver's license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle to use throughout the workday (mileage compensated).
• Ability to work phone, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other systems.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama).
• Background check required. All background checks are conducted, and their results are considered, in accordance with applicable law.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of this position, which frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, the ability to move and transport up to 25 pounds, the ability to move about inside and outside of the store, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, coach, and develop all store Team Members to build new business and maintain store profitability; train on systems, policies, compliance, account management, recovery, and daily performance reports.
• Manage overall store performance by meeting or exceeding KPIs; track, analyze, and train Team Members on performance reports.
• Lead the team to reach or exceed sales goals by extending loan or pawn products, identifying local marketing strategies, leveraging partnerships, obtaining referrals, and participating in community events.
• Supervise and maintain office security including cash management and loss prevention; verify and document cash overages/shortages, vault, inventory, deposits, and expenses; conduct openings/closings.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain a professional atmosphere; oversee store planograms and display seasonal/promotional materials.
• Utilize personal vehicle to complete bank deposits and Company business.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with customers and Team Members at all levels.
• Maintain a full-time schedule with regular in-person attendance, including some weekend hours (minimum 40 hours per week).
