Job summary

TravelCenters of America seeks a Store General Manager to lead operations and marketing for the Travel Store/Convenience Store. You will staff, train, supervise, and drive profitability while ensuring exceptional customer service and a safe work environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of supervisory experience, strong planning and communication skills, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a convenience store/travel center setting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS software; strong numerical and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the team to deliver fast, friendly service and maintain product knowledge
• Coach and assess staff performance per company policy
• Recruit, hire, train, and retain qualified team members
• Address customer concerns with effective problem solving
• Meet financial targets by managing people, products, services and store operations
• Oversee payroll, inventory and documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Uphold safety standards and vendor relationships
• Monitor competition and advise leadership on improvements
• Step into hourly roles as needed
