Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Store Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in operating the Travel Store/Convenience Store. You will lead staff, coach performance, recruit and train team members, and drive profitability while ensuring safety and great customer service.

You’ll develop a positive work environment, manage scheduling and vendor relationships, and partner with Marketing on promotions. Flexible hours including nights and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in convenience store or travel center supervisory roles preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Proficient in MS Office and POS software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Store department to meet performance standards and profitability.
• Coach and manage staff according to company policy.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality team members.
• Ensure safety standards and vendor relationships.
• Oversee staffing, training, supervision, and operations of the Travel Store/Convenience Store.
• Support General Manager in operations and marketing.
