Job summary

TravelCenters of America seeks a Store Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in operating the Travel Store/Convenience Store. You will staff, train and supervise the team to improve profitability and ensure exceptional service for travelers.

Key duties include recruiting, coaching, and driving revenue and cost controls while adhering to safety standards and vendor guidelines. The role requires flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) required.
• Supervisory experience in convenience store, truck service, travel center, or related industry preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Be a leader and inspire your team to meet and exceed company performance standards and improve the potential of the Store department.
• Coach and performance manage staff according to company policy.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality team members and create a respectful culture.
