Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Store General Manager to lead the Travel Store/Convenience Store operations and marketing, staffing, training, supervision, and improving profitability. You will recruit, train, retain staff, coach performance, manage customer relations, and drive financial objectives through people, product, service and facility processes.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years supervisory experience, and flexibility; competitive pay, benefits, tuition

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) required; Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in convenience store, truck service, travel center, or related business activity.
• Proficient planning and analytical skills including P&L, coverage ratio, budgets, and expense reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations and marketing functions of the Travel Store/Convenience Store.
• Staffing, training and development; supervise staff; improve profitability.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality team members; create a culture of respect and recognition.
• Respond to customer concerns and solve problems; coach and manage staff per policy.
• Achieve financial objectives through people, product, service and facility processes; manage payroll, inventory and documentation.
