Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Store Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager with operations and marketing of the Travel Store/Convenience Store. You will lead a team, recruit, train and develop staff, and drive profitability while ensuring high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) required.
• Experience in convenience store, truck service, travel center, or related industry is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be a leader and inspire your team to meet and exceed company performance standards and improve the potential of the Store department.
• Coach and performance manage staff according to company policy.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality team members and create a culture where staff feel respected and recognized.
• Help achieve financial objectives through effective management of people, product, service and facility processes, focusing on revenue and profit components.
• Adhere to safety standards and follow company guidelines on vendor relationships.
• Assume duties of any hourly associate position as necessary.
