Job summary

Office Depot Office Max is seeking a General Manager to drive total sales and services, owning performance across Sales, Services, and Operations Profit. You will lead and develop associates, ensure a best-in-class customer experience, and foster an inclusive, community-focused store culture.

Responsibilities include hiring, merchandising, and executing company standards, while proactively managing budgeted expenses and inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of management experience or equivalent
• Strong business acumen and sound judgment with proven people-management abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to lead, coach, and influence at all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with computers, job-related technology, and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and inspire associates to build trust, brand loyalty, and a strong customer service culture.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience and resolve issues, ensuring satisfaction.
• Manage performance, talent development, and recognition of all associates; coach and counsel as needed.
• Increase sales and profitability by effective staffing and scheduling using labor models.
• Oversee merchandising, operations, and store standards; maintain a neat, stocked environment.
• Lead store meetings and communicate initiatives, policies, and procedures.
