Job summary

Office Depot Office Max is seeking a General Manager to drive total sales, services, and profitability at the store level. You will own training, development, and succession planning for associates while creating a customer-first environment and engaging with the local community.

You will hire and manage merchandising, operations, and execution of standards, addressing associate and customer relations, and champion company changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
• 2–4 years of management experience or equivalent from an internal development program.
• Strong business acumen and sound judgment with proven people-management abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to lead, coach, and influence at all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills in a fast-changing environment.
• Proficient with computers, job-related technology, and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Owns sales growth and services at the location and drives customer experience and sales culture.
• Leads associate training and development, talent assessment, and succession planning.
• Hires, merchandises, oversees operations, and ensures store and company standards.
• Resolves associate and customer relations concerns and partners with business teams.
