Job summary

Office Depot OfficeMax in Wisconsin seeks a General Manager to lead store operations and drive total sales, services, and customer experience across the location. You will own associate training, performance management, merchandising execution, and daily standards while partnering with business partners to support community relations and customer loyalty.

The role requires proven leadership, 2–4 years in management, strong business acumen, and excellent verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field preferred
• 2–4 years of management experience, or equivalent skills gained through an internal development program
• Strong business acumen and sound judgment with proven people-management abilities
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead, coach, and positively influence at all levels, while working both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills in a fast-changing environment
• Proficient with computers, job-related technology, and POS systems for accessing and processing information and merchandise

Responsibilities

• Owns store sales performance and identifies sales opportunities to meet targets
• Develops store strategies and tactics to achieve sales results and operational goals
• Manages customer relationships and community engagement to build loyalty
• Leads, trains, and coaches associates; conducts performance management and succession planning
• Ensures execution of company standards in merchandising, operations, and safety
