Job summary

Foot Locker is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, coach a diverse team, and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. You’ll manage opening/closing, sales floor leadership, and execution while maintaining brand standards and POS systems.

The role emphasizes ownership, urgency, and teamwork to drive sales and store performance in a fast-paced retail environment. Weekend/evening availability is required and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and solutions for customers.
• Coach the team to deliver great service and share product knowledge.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and closing the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations, including opening/closing and cash handling.
• Leverage retail technology to enhance customer experience and store operations.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled and support hiring and training.
