The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and customer-centricity, with responsibilities spanning floor supervision, training, and brand representation. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected as part of a twenty-to-25 hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment.
• 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in a specialty or culinary retail environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and retain a high performing team.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement.
• Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates.
• Represent Sur La Table's brand and culture by creating memorable experiences that inspire repeat visits.
• Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner to maintain satisfaction.
