Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates and enhance the in-store customer experience. This role focuses on coaching, directing daily tasks, and ensuring safety and efficiency across departments.

You will participate in merchandising decisions, support down stocking, and manage performance to meet store objectives. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and tools to support those assisting customers to deliver the best service.
• Assist with down stocking and area recovery and merchandising decisions.
• Monitor use of store power equipment and coach safe behaviors and lifting techniques.
• Lead and train a team of associates to deliver excellent customer experience and meet sales goals.
• Supervise customer-facing and back‑of‑house tasks, ensure department coverage and safety.
• Communicate best practices to the team and coordinate with other departments as needed.
