Designer Brands in Kansas is seeking a Store Associate who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You will support store management to drive sales, ensure a positive customer experience, manage inventory, and execute omni-channel tasks per company policies.

You will model professional behavior, assist with daily opening/closing, maintain store standards, and help the team deliver friendly, efficient service while following safety and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of workforce experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Model professional CEL behaviors and guide associates to meet store goals and KPIs.
• Respond quickly to customer and associate requests.
• Maintain DSW store standards and complete opening/closing tasks including cleaning and recovery.
• Review and communicate daily progress to the team.
• Process audits, donations, transfers, mismates, damages as required.
• Collaborate with store leadership to follow all policies and procedures.
• Participate in inventory tasks: freight receipt, placement, markdowns, MOOS.
• Assist with omni activities like Charge/Send and BOPIS.
• Communicate supply needs to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a safe store and report issues to the Store Manager.
• Address concerns and escalate when needed.
• Support timekeeping activities.
• Provide feedback on performance and relay issues to Store Manager.
• Recognize associates using recognition tools.
• Train and coach associates.
• Perform other store duties as assigned.
