Fleet Feet in Somerville, NJ is seeking an Assistant Retail Experience Manager to help shape store culture, energize the sales floor, and support Outfitters through coaching, scheduling, and daily direction. You will lead by example on the floor, drive a high‑performance team, and ensure an exceptional customer journey while collaborating with the Operating Partner.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail leadership in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Leadership skills in coaching, team motivation, delegation, and conflict resolution.
• Proven experience with retail operations such as scheduling, inventory, and floor management.

Responsibilities

• Support the recruiting, onboarding, and development of Outfitters to ensure excellence in service and sales.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, delivering the Fleet Feet Outfitting Experience with energy and care.
• Act as a shift leader, directing floor operations and assisting with real-time coaching.
• Foster a high-performance team culture by recognizing achievements and encouraging accountability.
• Provide clear communication across the team to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and customer needs.
• Assist with scheduling, operational support, and the execution of store events and initiatives.
• Help resolve customer issues quickly and professionally, prioritizing satisfaction.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.
