Safeway is hiring a Third Person in Charge to oversee store operations when the Store Director and Assistant Store Director are unavailable. This role sits within the leadership development track, exposing you to customer service, training, and merchandising execution across the store.

You will coordinate with late shifts, supervise staff, handle customer relations, and participate in hiring, onboarding, and daily problem solving to keep the store running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four or more years of retail experience.
• Retail grocery experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee total store operations during the absence of the Store Director and ASD.
• Supervise employees, handle customer complaints, and initiate corrective action.
• Coordinate with late shift for day-to-day operations and training.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, stocking and merchandising.
• Develop marketing and merchandising plans with Head Clerks and PICs.
• Train Head Clerks and PICs for potential promotion to Third Person in Charge.
• Support safety culture and programs to ensure a safe environment.
• Coordinate hiring needs and onboarding of new hires.
