Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I to oversee new store development, expansions, and remodels from pre-construction through close-out. You will coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage bids, contracts, and schedules, and drive on-time openings across the Food Lion family of brands.

The role requires 5-7 years in construction, a relevant degree, and weekly travel with a Friday remote day. This is a full-time position supporting Food Lion-contracted projects in NC/SC/VA and beyond.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
Ability to travel weekly.
Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Manage bidding and awarding processes for GC's, CM's, subcontractors, and suppliers on Food Lion-contracted projects.
Prepare and manage contracts, purchase orders, and payment of requisitions and invoices.
Oversee change authorization/change order processes to control cost and schedule.
Develop and implement cost-saving ideas and value engineering.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Preconstruction, Operations and other stakeholders.
Ensure safety and quality standards, monitor progress, and lead project meetings.
