Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I for Store Development to manage new store, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction through close-out. The role supports Food Lion-contracted projects and requires 80% travel from Monday to Thursday, with a remote office day on Friday.

Applicants should reside in NC, SC, or VA and be authorized to work in the United States full-time. Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering or equivalent plus 5–7 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in construction.
• Willingness to travel weekly.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding/awarding processes with GC/CM/subcontractors and oversee developer/landlord projects.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders, processing, and payment of requisitions and invoices for Food Lion-contracted work.
• Manage Construction Change Authorization/Change Order process and ensure timely payments.
• Develop and monitor construction schedules, phase plans, milestones, and critical equipment delivery.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Refrigeration, Real Estate, Preconstruction/A&E and Operations.
• Oversee site work to ensure compliance with plans and prototype standards.
