Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Store Development Project Manager I for the Food Lion portfolio in the Chesapeake, VA area. You will lead new store, expansion, and remodel projects from pre-construction through close-out, coordinating with GC/CMs, vendors, and internal teams to meet schedules and budgets.

The role requires weekly travel and strong communication skills to drive safe, on-time openings and adherence to prototype standards. Salary range reflects ME/NC/PA/SC markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Ability to travel weekly.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of architectural designs/engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding with GC/CM and suppliers for Food Lion projects.
• Prepare bid documents, RFPs, schedules, and RFQ packages.
• Oversee contracts, purchase orders, processing, and payment of requisitions and invoices.
• Manage the Change Authorization/Change Order process and budget.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Preconstruction, Operations and other stakeholders.
