Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I in Store Development to manage new store, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction through closeout. You will oversee bidding, contracts, schedules, and budgets, ensuring compliance with prototype standards and store openings.

The role requires 80% travel (Mon-Thu) with a remote office day on Friday, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years in construction/store development or similar roles.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders and manage complex schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes for GC's, CM's, and subcontractors for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Oversee contract, purchase order, requisition, and invoice processing for Food Lion work.
• Coordinate change orders and value engineering to control project costs.
• Develop detailed project phasing plans, schedules, and milestones; monitor progress against plan.
• Lead meetings with vendors, developers, and internal partners to ensure timely delivery and store openings.
• Ensure compliance with prototype standards, building codes, and safety requirements.
• Provide post-construction closeout and warranty documentation and process improvements.
