Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of a global food retailer, seeks a Project Manager I to oversee store development, expansions and remodels from pre-construction through warranty. The role requires managing bids, contracts, schedules, budgets, and compliance with prototype standards while coordinating with Purchasing, Real Estate, Operations and external vendors.

Applicants in NC/SC/VA will travel 80% (Mon-Thu) with a remote office day on Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; construction management or engineering preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Strong problem-solving, planning and communication skills.
• Ability to travel weekly; manage multiple projects across regions.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes for GC/CMs and subcontractors for Food Lion projects.
• Coordinate contracts, purchase orders, and payment processing for contracted work.
• Oversee change orders and ensure alignment with project scope and budget.
• Lead bid and requisition approvals; monitor redline reviews of ARCH/MEP plans.
• Develop phase plans, schedules, milestones and monitor progress against them.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Preconstruction and Operations stakeholders.
