Job summary

The Fresh Market in Florida seeks a Co-Store Director to lead daily operations and drive exceptional guest experiences. You will guide the store team, oversee sales departments, and ensure a consistent, high-quality guest and team member experience.

You’ll recruit and develop leaders, manage critical financial metrics, and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards, while engaging with the local community.

Qualifications

• Progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, hospitality, or related fields.
• Experience overseeing multiple departments or store-wide operations.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to hit sales, margin, labor, and inventory goals.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain after hire.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Model and promote values of passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork.
• Serve as a visible, accessible leader on the sales floor, supporting team members and engaging with guests.
• Recruit, hire, and develop team members, building a strong pipeline of future leaders.
• Oversee departments to ensure merchandising, signage, and assortment reflect local guest needs and brand standards.
• Manage key financial areas, including sales, gross margin, labor planning, inventory control, and shrink reduction.
• Partner with department managers to ensure effective ordering, scheduling, and workload planning.
• Maintain full compliance with food safety, sanitation, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a brand ambassador, representing The Fresh Market with hospitality and professionalism in-store and in the community.
• Build strong relationships with guests, addressing questions and resolving concerns.
• Engage with local organizations, vendors, and partners to strengthen the store’s community presence.
