Job summary

ALDI USA in Grimes, IA is seeking a store associate to merchandise, stock, cashier, and maintain cleanliness for an optimal shopping experience. You will work with the ALDI team to provide exceptional customer service.

The role is full-time, averages 30+ hours per week, with starting pay at $19.00 per hour and scheduled increases over five years to $21.00. Prior retail experience and ability to use POS systems are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Operate store equipment (cash register, floor scrubber, baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers).
• Follow ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Model and fulfill customer service principles and escalate concerns.
• Inform management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Process purchases with the POS system and report scanning issues.
• Adhere to cash policies and line policy, open lanes as needed.
• Stock shelves and displays per merchandising planograms.
• Complete curbside pickup orders accurately and timely.
• Maintain zone and merchandising standards.
• Support management in achieving efficiency and loss goals.
• Maintain a safe working environment by addressing hazards and proper equipment.
• Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
• Perform general cleaning to company standards.
