Job summary

ALDI USA is hiring a Store Associate to merchandise, stock, cashier, and clean to keep the store looking its best. You’ll work with the ALDI team to deliver exceptional customer service while learning store operations in a full-time role.

Starting wage is $20.00 per hour with scheduled increases in Years 2–5. Typical hours exceed 30 per week, with benefits for full-time employees including medical, dental, vision, vacation, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Model and fulfill all customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management as necessary.
• Inform store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Properly utilize the POS system to scan and process purchases and report scanning issues.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures.
• Follow policy and open additional check lanes to ensure efficient checkout.
• Stock shelves and displays neatly according to planograms to maximize sales.
• Complete curbside pickup orders and ensure timely delivery to customers’ vehicles.
• Maintain zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assist management in achieving operational efficiency and loss reduction goals.
• Comply with all company policies and processes.
• Support a safe working environment by addressing hazards and maintaining equipment.
• Adhere to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
