Steve Madden Retail Careers is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (Full-Time) in North Charleston, SC. Working with the Store Manager, you will guide, develop, and motivate a team of brand advocates to ensure an exceptional customer experience that aligns with the company’s brand values.

You will partner with the Store Manager to maximize profitability through customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and community outreach.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, and loss prevention.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Experience developing staff and coaching teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to maximize profitability and ensure standards are met.
• Create exceptional customer experiences through client focus and team collaboration.
• Implement visual merchandising directives to align with brand strategies.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Assist in training, operations, inventory management, and store administration.
• Foster development and accountability within the team.
• Process items through POS and computer systems.
• Assist in hiring qualified candidates and adjust roles as needed.
