Steve Madden in Myrtle Beach is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (F/T) to partner with the Store Manager on store operations, drive profitability, and ensure exceptional customer experiences aligned with brand values.

The role involves leading a team, training staff, executing merchandising directives, managing inventory and loss prevention, and delivering strong client-focused service while maintaining compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays.
• Experience in training and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability through customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and compliance.
• Create exceptional customer experiences with strong client focus and collaboration.
• Assist in implementing visual merchandising directives to maintain brand strategies.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Support loss prevention and safety policy adherence.
• Assist in training, inventory management, store administration, and daily operations.
• Foster development and accountability among staff.
• Process information or merchandise through the POS/register system.
• Assist in selection and hiring of qualified candidates.
