Steve Madden Retail Careers in Camarillo, CA seeks a Store Assistant Manager (F/T) to work with the Store Manager on daily store operations and lead a team of brand advocates to deliver an exceptional customer experience aligned with the brand.

You will focus on profitability, client engagement, visual merchandising, inventory control, and training, with flexibility to perform related duties as needed. The role requires 3–5 years in retail, strong communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation, and loss prevention.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to maximize profitability by ensuring customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection align with standards.
• Create amazing customer experiences through client focus and collaboration; motivate the team to deliver memorable experiences.
• Partner with the Store Manager to implement visual merchandising directives to maintain brand strategies.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Comply with loss prevention and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in training, operations, sales, inventory management, and customer service.
• Foster an environment of development and accountability.
• Process information or merchandise through the POS system.
• Assist Store Manager in hiring qualified candidates.
• Be flexible and perform duties outside your specific role as needed.
