Steve Madden Retail Careers is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (F/T) to support the Store Manager in all store operations and develop a team of brand advocates to deliver an exceptional customer experience aligned with our brand values.

The role requires 3–5 years of retail experience, strong verbal and written communication, and solid organizational skills to manage staff, merchandising, inventory, and daily store administration. Flexible schedule and participation in training may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability and ensure brand standards.
• Create great customer experiences through client focus and collaboration.
• Lead visual merchandising to reflect brand strategies and maintain displays.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Support loss prevention and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in training, operations, inventory management, and store administration.
• Develop and hold staff accountable.
• Process information through the computer system and POS.
• Assist in hiring qualified candidates.
• Flexibility to perform duties beyond role.
