Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and supervise daily operations as the Manager on Duty.

You will open and close the store, oversee Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment while ensuring merchandise is presented to standard. You'll drive compliance with safety, loss prevention, and front-end procedures, train staff on cash handling, stock processing, and customer service, and support store leadership in delivering the Ross

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as Manager on Duty.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and a clean, easy-to-shop environment.
• Execute and supervise Company processes including merchandising, loss prevention, and front-end operations.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers, shortage control, and policies.
• Manage staff schedules, breaks, and payroll-related tasks.
• Oversee front-end efficiency, cash handling, and customer service standards.
