Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and supervise daily operations as the Manager on Duty.

You will open and close the store, oversee Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment while ensuring merchandise is presented to standard. You'll drive compliance with safety, loss prevention, and front-end procedures, train staff on cash handling, stock processing, and customer service, and support store leadership in delivering the Ross

Qualifications

Excellent verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English.
Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Open and close the store and supervise Associates as Manager on Duty.
Ensure proper merchandise presentation and a clean, easy-to-shop environment.
Execute and supervise Company processes including merchandising, loss prevention, and front-end operations.
Train and coach Associates on cash registers, shortage control, and policies.
Manage staff schedules, breaks, and payroll-related tasks.
Oversee front-end efficiency, cash handling, and customer service standards.
