Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and oversee operations when designated as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, maintain a safe shopping environment, and ensure proper merchandise presentation.

This role emphasizes loss prevention, customer service excellence, front-end supervision, and adherence to company guidelines for daily operations across stockrooms and sales floors.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Maintain safe, clean and merchandised environments.
• Execute company operational processes and loss prevention practices.
• Train and coach front-end staff on cash handling and POS use.
• Ensure proper stockroom organization and back-stock control.
• Support effective floor moves, signing, and merchandise presentation.
