Job summary

Ross Stores in Athens, Alabama is seeking an Area Supervisor to join Store Leadership. You will oversee a defined area of the store, supervise associates and help maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment while ensuring merchandise presentation and daily operations run smoothly.

This role requires safety focus, loss prevention awareness, and the ability to open or close the store, supervise front-end activities, and support the Store Manager with administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English required.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure shopping environment.
• Supervises Associates and ensures customer service standards.
• Oversees front-end operations and cashier activities.
• Ensures merchandise presentation and store cleanliness.
• Responsible for opening and closing the store.
• Executes company policies and loss prevention procedures.
• Reports to Store Manager during duty shifts.
• Manages staffing and daily store tasks.
