Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. in Dothan, AL seeks an Area Supervisor to join Store Leadership. You will oversee a specific area of the store and the general operations when acting as Manager on Duty, opening/closing, supervising associates, and ensuring a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

You will maintain merchandise presentation, keep areas clean, and execute company operational processes, while coaching staff on front-end procedures and loss prevention to support a productive, customer-focused store.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English.
Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Oversee a specific area of the store and the general operations when acting as Manager on Duty.
Open and close the store, supervise associates and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area.
Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
Train and coach Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
Assist with loss prevention and ensure safety and security on the sales floor.
