Job summary

Ross Stores in Alabama is seeking an Area Supervisor to join our store leadership team. The role covers assigned areas of the store, supports operations, opens/closes, supervises Associates, and maintains a friendly environment while ensuring proper merchandising and cleanliness.

You will enforce company processes, assist with loss prevention, front-end supervision, and daily merchandising, while coaching staff and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates.
• Maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment and ensure proper merchandising.
• Enforce company processes and loss prevention practices.
• Lead Front End operations and ensure checkout efficiency.
• Oversee stockrooms, merchandising areas, and back stock.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness and compliance with policies.
