Job summary

Le Méridien Charlotte | Sheraton Charlotte is seeking a dependable, motivated individual to join our Food & Beverage team as a dishwasher. This role supports kitchen operations and helps deliver an exceptional guest experience by keeping dishes and areas clean and organized.

You will operate dishwashing equipment, assist with plate-up, manage storage, and help with inventory, while adhering to food safety standards and company procedures. Full-time position with AM/PM shifts available.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English with guests and staff.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds and perform manual tasks.
• Willing to perform repetitive dishwashing duties and assist in food prep as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing equipment and hand wash items as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen, dish, and storage areas.
• Properly store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Assist with plate-up and food production as needed.
• Remove trash and maintain clean kitchen floors and work areas.
• Assist with inventory of china, glassware, silverware, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure equipment is in proper working condition and report shortages or concerns.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and company standards.
• Support efficient kitchen operations and overall service performance.

This role plays an important part in keeping our kitchen operations running smoothly while supporting our team in delivering an exceptional experience for our guests.

Schedule: Full-time with flexible availability for both AM and PM shifts.

What You’ll Do

Requirements

Skills to be successful in this role would include:

• Must have a knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
• Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.
• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
• Hearing, reading, writing.
• Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.
• Other duties may be assigned.
