Job summary

Risas Dental and Braces is seeking a Sterilization Technician to join the team in Aurora. The role cleans, decontaminates, and sterilizes instruments and equipment, supporting dental assistants and doctors in patient care.

The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish/English), has a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and basic computer skills. This on-site position offers 12-hour shifts and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Decontamination and cleaning of equipment and instruments; maintain sterility.
• Assemble instrument sets based on count sheets and minimize waste.
• Package single instrument items; differentiate steam vs gas sterilization.
• Store and deliver sterile supplies using aseptic technique.
• Evaluate equipment and report malfunctions for timely repairs.
• Clean and sanitize treatment rooms after each patient.
• Comply with OSHA, HIPAA and practice policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for decontamination and cleaning of all equipment and instruments; ensurescleanlinessand sterility of allinstruments
• Accurately assembles instruments sets based on established count sheets; effectively uses materials and supplieswhileminimizingwaste
• Appropriately prepares and packages single instrumentitems,differentiatingitems requiring steam versus gassterilization
• Stores, delivers, and manages sterile supplies using aseptictechnique
• Evaluates functioning of equipment; reports malfunction follows through to ensureappropriate repairsare complete and maintenance performed preventing futuredamage
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing treatment rooms after each use
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, andRisaspolicies and practices)
• Any other duties and responsibilities asassigned
