Job summary

Risas Dental and Braces is seeking a Sterilization Technician to join our family. The role focuses on decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of instruments to support dental care teams.

The position requires bilingual Spanish/English abilities, a high school diploma, and reliable teamwork. It offers 12-hour shifts, benefits, and growth opportunities within a fast-paced dental environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal communication skills are essential.
• Physically capable of transporting supplies and equipment.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination and cleaning of all equipment and instruments; ensures cleanliness and sterility.
• Assemble instrument sets based on count sheets and minimize waste.
• Prepare and package single instrument items for steam or gas sterilization.
• Store, deliver and manage sterile supplies using aseptic technique.
• Evaluate equipment function and report malfunctions for repairs.
• Clean and sanitize treatment rooms after each use.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA).
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for decontamination and cleaning of all equipment and instruments; ensurescleanlinessand sterility of allinstruments
• Accurately assembles instruments sets based on established count sheets; effectively uses materials and supplieswhileminimizingwaste
• Appropriately prepares and packages single instrumentitems,differentiatingitems requiring steam versus gassterilization
• Stores, delivers, and manages sterile supplies usingaseptictechnique
• Evaluates functioning of equipment; reports malfunction follows through to ensureappropriate repairsare complete and maintenance performed preventing futuredamage
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing treatment rooms after each use
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, andRisaspolicies and practices)
• Any other duties and responsibilities asassigned
